So, it might be a little weird for you guys, but I need honest thoughts :) I am an Indonesian origin and back home people wear kebaya blouse-dress to get married, it's made of sheer, hand done embroidered or lace material, and this blouse is combined with batik skirt. Batik is also a traditional material, usually made of silk with hand painted patterns on it. The kebaya can be in any color. So, the first 2 pics below are how usually they look like on the wedding. Now, my FI is from Europe and we want to incorporate European wedding in it, so I was thinking to make my kebaya a bit like a white European dress, by replacing the batik skirt with dress-like material and pick everything in white. The last picture is how I want my dress to be.
So my question is, do you think it looks weird?? (well, I know that even the regular kebaya look unusual for you) Half of my guests will be from Europe and half my natives, so I don't want to look weird for the both group. Should I just go with either regular traditional kebaya or pure white European dress? Please opinion, and thanks Bees! :)
